Knowing that a ‘voice’ has two parts; the sonic aesthetics, and the substance; the former of which listeners are calling ‘the voice of an angel’, and the latter provoking heartfelt comments such as ‘your song made me cry’;
Zoe Ryan uses both, offering a beacon of light and hope in a troubled world.
Writing about the world we have known, the world that could be, and our internal struggles dealing with this experience known as life, Zoe Ryan is among those who aim to rewrite the future and inspire hope back into all who have lost it.
On stage, Zoe Ryan is an eclectic and strong, yet warm and gentle presence, the result of many years weathering the path she has chosen and the landscape that has shaped her; that of Australia - socioculturally and geographically.
Following on from early projects self-produced track Be The Change (2012), collaborative crowdfunded EP Our Patchwork Hearts (2014) with band Zoe Ryan & the Dandy Lion, collaborative single Drink (2017) and live EP, Winter Live 2017 (2018); Zoe Ryan returns to the studio in 2019 working on a new release with a new Solarpunk direction.
